Little Ashley Farm

Sensitive renovation of a 500-year-old listed farmhouse

I navigated a complex planning and listed building consent process, working closely with the structural engineer to develop solutions sensitive to this historic farmhouse.

The renovation included lowering the entire ground floor by 250mm to improve headroom, adding kitchen and boot room extensions, and converting the second floor with new dormer windows. Historically appropriate detailing and discreetly housed building services preserved the building’s character while improving energy efficiency and comfort.
